The Salon: Pastel Ombre Hair Colour

I work in a busy salon, I take around 15 calls a day asking for The Ombre Colour technique, seen recently on Sarah Jessica Parker, Drew Barrymore, Rachel Bilson and Alexa Chung.
The Ombre technique is a form of balayage, which is a applying light or dark shades to hair free hand. Balayage gives random chunky highlight look which can look more natural.
the Ombre technique is applying colour free hand to the ends of your hair (like a dip dye)
usually hair is dyed 1-2 shades darker than the colour at the root so it naturally blends from dark to light.
A trend that is gathering speed for the spring/summer is Pastel Ombre colour (Kelis did it years ago!)
Choose Pastel pink, mint green or pale blue this is a fun look and probably won't be around next season so try using coloured extension's (click here)
This look is not for everyone but if you want to try something new give it  go!
